Changing battery in keyless entry remote require flat head screwdriver and 1xCR2032 battery. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your keyless entry fob's batteries.- 1xCR2032 battery

Simple steps to change the battery in your Explorer's key fob
Inside of your key fob installed tiny button battery. Gently try to disassemble your fob with flat head screwdriver. Remove 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your shell pieces together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your fob body for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
