How to Replace the Battery in a 2005 Land Rover LR3 Key Fob

Before you start to disassembly remote key fob make sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: flat head screwdriver, flux, soldering wire, soldering iron and VL2330 battery.- soldering iron

Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's keyless entry remote
A button cell battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Carefully try to open your keyless entry remote with hands or flat head screwdriver. VL2330 is rechargeable battery. To remove it from a key fob soldering iron needed.
Get new battery and install it inside fob’s body. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, verify keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to assemble the two halves together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
