How to Open Your 2005 Lexus GS 300 Key Fob and Change Battery

What kind of battery remote key fob use
Before going to open keyless entry remote make sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and one CR1632 battery.- 1xCR1632 battery

Simple steps to change the battery in your GS 300's remote key fob
Inside of your remote key fob installed tiny button cell battery. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Delicately try to pry apart your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change 1 CR1632 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR1632. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, verify keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your case pieces together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
