2005 Toyota Highlander Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

Before beginning open keyless entry remote be sure that you have all required tools and materials: 1 CR2016 battery, phillips head screwdriver and flat head screwdriver.- flat head screwdriver

Step by step instruction
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed tiny button battery. Remove fasteners on the back of the keyless entry remote. Spin the key fob over and look for at least one fastener holding in the plastic.
Delicately try to open your key fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove CR2016 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with fresh one CR2016. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working good, assemble your keyless entry fob's case in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your shell pieces together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. If your key fob shell firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step. Screw fastener in the back of the remote key fob.
