Before you start to disassembly remote key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and 1 CR2032 battery.- flat head screwdriver
- 1xCR2032 battery
Simple steps to change the battery in your car's keyless entry remote
Inside of your remote key fob installed tiny button cell battery. Carefully try to disassemble your remote key fob with pry tools. Replace 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in keyless entry fob's body. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, verify keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body two halves together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key fob case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
