How to Replace the Battery in a 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser Key Fob

Before going to disassembly key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver, 1 CR2016 battery and phillips head screwdriver.- flat head screwdriver

Step by step instruction
A tiny coin cell battery installed inside the your remote key fob. Remove screw on the back of the keyless entry remote. Flip the keyless entry remote over and look for at least 1 fastener holding in the plastic.
Delicately try to pry apart your keyless entry remote with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change one CR2016 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2016. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, check remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's case in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to assemble the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your remote key fob case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step. Screw fastener in the back of the remote key fob.
