How to Open Your 2006 Toyota Solara Key Fob & Change Battery

Replacing battery in remote key fob require flat head screwdriver, phillips head screwdriver and one CR2032 battery. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the type of your fob’s batteries.- phillips head screwdriver

Simple steps to change the battery in your Solara's key fob
Inside of your key fob installed tiny button cell battery. Unscrew the back of the remote key fob. Flip the remote key fob over and look for at least one screw holding in the plastic.
Carefully try to disassemble your key with flat head screwdriver. Replace one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in fob’s body. Battery must be installed with the same polarity as was a previous. Your key will not work if you by mistake put battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, verify keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's case in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your case two halves together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step. Screw fastener in the back of the key fob.
