Simple steps to replace the battery in your XC90's remote key fob
A small coin cell battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Gently try to pry apart your remote key fob with pry tools. Remove one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside fob’s case. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling keyless entry fob's case, make sure that all functions works by pressing buttons on circuit board.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to put the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
