Key fob grant easy access to your car. If the key fob battery is weak you lose your fob’s ability to use remote opening function. It's not complicated to change the battery in your key fob by yourself. Everything you need is outlined in this article.

Don't forget before disassembly remote key fob check all that you need: CR1616 battery, phillips head screwdriver and flat head screwdriver.- 1xCR1616 battery

Step by step guide
Inside of your remote key fob installed button cell battery. Unscrew the back of the key fob. Flip the key fob over and find for at least one fastener holding in the plastic.
Delicately try to disassemble your fob with pry tools. Remove one CR1616 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in keyless entry fob's shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If everything working good, assemble your fob’s case in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to put the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your fob shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step. Screw the back of the keyless entry remote.
