Prior to open remote key fob make sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and one CR2032 battery.- 1xCR2032 battery

Simple steps to change the battery in your Ranger's keyless entry remote
A small coin cell battery installed inside the your key fob. Gently try to pry apart your fob with flat head screwdriver. Replace CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with fresh one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's case in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your shell pieces together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your key fob case for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
