Simple steps to replace the battery in your CR-V's key fob
A tiny coin cell battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Remove fasteners on the back of the key fob. Flip the keyless entry remote over and find for at least one fastener holding in the plastic.
Delicately try to pry apart your keyless entry remote with flat head screwdriver. Change 2 CR2032 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Get new batteries and install it in fob’s case. Battery must be placed with the same polarity as was a previous. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you mistakenly put battery wrong way.
After the new batteries installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Delicately try to assemble the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. If your fob case tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step. Screw the back of the keyless entry remote.
