How to Replace the Battery in a 2008 Honda Pilot Key Fob

Key fob grant access to your Honda. If the remote key fob battery is weak or dead you lose your fob’s ability to control remote functions. Below, we described how to disassembly your key fob and change your Honda key battery.
What type battery key fob require
Prior to open key fob check all that you need: phillips head screwdriver, 1xCR1616 battery and flat head screwdriver.- phillips head screwdriver

Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's keyless entry remote
Inside of your key fob installed small coin battery. Unscrew the back of the key fob. Flip the keyless entry remote over and look for at least 1 fastener holding in the plastic.
Gently try to disassemble your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove 1xCR1616 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in fob’s case. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you put battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, verify remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working good, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to put the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step. Screw fastener in the back of the key fob.
