Simple steps to change the battery in your Cherokee's key fob
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed small button cell battery. Move the key out of the way if it is in the keyless entry remote.
Gently try to pry apart your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside keyless entry fob's case. Battery must be installed with the same polarity as was a previous. Your key will not work if you by mistake put battery wrong way.

The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Delicately try to put the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
