2008 Lexus GX 470 Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

Prior to disassembly keyless entry remote be sure that you have all required tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and 1xCR1616 battery.- 1xCR1616 battery

Simple steps to change the battery in your car's remote key fob
A coin cell battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the key fob.
Delicately try to open your keyless entry remote with flat head screwdriver. Change 1xCR1616 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR1616. Battery must be placed with the same polarity as was an old. Your remote key fob will not work if you mistakenly put battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body pieces together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. If your key fob case tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
