Prior to disassembly key fob check all that you need: one CR2025 battery and flat head screwdriver.- 1xCR2025 battery

Simple steps to replace the battery in your RX-8's keyless entry remote
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed small coin cell battery. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the remote key fob.
Delicately try to disassemble your keyless entry remote with pry tools. Change 1 CR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it in fob’s body. Battery must be placed with the same position as was a previous. Your remote key fob will not work if you mistakenly put battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, verify key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s case in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your case two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. If your remote key fob shell tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
