Simple steps to replace the battery in your CLK550's keyless entry remote
A button cell battery installed in the your remote key fob. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Delicately try to disassemble your remote key fob with pry tools. Replace two CR2025 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Change old batteries with new one CR2025. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key fob will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
After the new batteries installed, check remote key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to put the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your fob shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
