How to Open Your 2008 Mercury Marquis Key Fob and Change Battery

Before you start to disassembly key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and one CR2032 battery.- flat head screwdriver
- 1xCR2032 battery
Step by step guide
Inside of your remote key fob installed coin cell battery. Accurately try to pry apart your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, verify key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything working fine, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to assemble the two halves together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
