How to Open Your 2008 Toyota Solara Key Fob & Change Battery

Changing battery in key fob require CR2032 battery, flat head screwdriver and phillips head screwdriver. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your fob’s batteries.- flat head screwdriver

Simple steps to change the battery in your Solara's keyless entry remote
A button cell battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Remove screw on the back of the remote key fob. Flip the keyless entry remote over and look for at least 1 fastener holding in the plastic.
Accurately try to pry apart your key with flat head screwdriver. Remove 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside keyless entry fob's case. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key will not work if you place battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, verify keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to assemble the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Check your key shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step. Screw fastener in the back of the key fob.
