Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's key fob
A small coin battery installed inside the your key fob. Open key first, and then try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Carefully try to disassemble your keyless entry remote with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with fresh one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your key case for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
