2009 Audi A3 Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions
If your A3 keyless entry remote isn't open doors correct, the battery most likely needs to be replaced. In this post, we demonstrate how to open Audi keyless entry remote and change a weak battery DIY. Step by step instruction
Inside of your key fob installed small button cell battery. Open key before you try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Gently try to open your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in fob’s shell. Battery must be installed with the same position as was a previous. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you by mistake place battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, verify key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to assemble the two halves together by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
