How to Open Your 2009 Audi A6 Key Fob and Change Battery

If you decide to do it at home near A6, follow our instruction, but first make sure you have tools and materials required.

Before beginning disassembly keyless entry remote be sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and 1xCR2032 battery.- 1xCR2032 battery

Step by step instruction
A coin cell battery installed in the your remote key fob. Open key first, and then try to pry apart the key fob.
Gently try to pry apart your fob with pry tools. Replace 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with new one CR2032. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key fob will not work if you place battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s case in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your body two halves together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your key case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
