How to Open Your 2009 BMW 5-Series Key Fob & Change Battery

What type battery keyless entry remote use
Changing battery in key fob require 1 CR2450 battery, super glue, carpet knife and flat head screwdriver. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your keyless entry fob's batteries.- 1xCR2450 battery

- razor knife
- flat head screwdriver
Step by step instruction
A button cell battery installed inside the your key fob. Move the key out of the way if it is in the keyless entry remote. To disassemble this remote key fob you need scoring the edges with box cutter first.
Carefully try to open your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change 1 CR2450 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2450. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your remote key fob will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check remote key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step. Glue the back of the key fob.
