How to Open Your 2009 Toyota Prius Key Fob and Change Battery
Keyless entry remote allow access to your Prius. Once the keyless entry remote battery is weak or dead you will not to be able close doors from distance. In this case, we demonstrate how to open your car key fob and change a discharged battery DIY. If you choose to do it at home near Prius, use this guide, but first make sure you have everything you need.
What kind of battery key fob require
Before beginning disassembly keyless entry remote make sure that you have all required tools and materials: 1xCR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver.- 1xCR2032 battery

Step by step guide
A small coin battery installed in the your remote key fob. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Gently try to open your key fob with pry tools. Replace 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it in keyless entry fob's shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling keyless entry fob's case, make sure that all functions works by pressing buttons on circuit board.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to put the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
