2009 Volkswagen GTI Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

Remote key fob grant access to your car. Once the keyless entry remote battery is dead you not to be able open trunk or doors from distance. In this article, we explained how to disassembly your car remote key fob and change a discharged battery DIY. If you decide to do it at home near GTI, use this instruction, but first make sure you have everything you need.
What kind of battery keyless entry remote use
Prior to disassembly remote key fob make sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and CR2032 battery.- 1xCR2032 battery

Step by step instruction
A button cell battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Open key before you try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Gently try to disassemble your key fob with pry tools. Replace CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside fob’s shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your case pieces together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob body for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
