How to Replace the Battery in a 2009 Volvo S40 Key Fob

Changing battery in remote key fob require flat head screwdriver and one CR2032 battery. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your fob’s batteries.- 1xCR2032 battery

Step by step guide
Inside of your remote key fob installed coin battery. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the remote key fob.
Gently try to pry apart your fob with flat head screwdriver. Remove 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with new one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, verify remote key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to assemble the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. If your key fob body firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
