Simple steps to change the battery in your 5-Series's remote key fob
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed small coin battery. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the remote key fob. To open this key fob you need scoring the edges with razor knife first.
Delicately try to open your key with flat head screwdriver. Replace 1xCR2450 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside keyless entry fob's body. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, verify keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell pieces together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your key case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step. Glue the back of the keyless entry remote.
