How to Replace the Battery in a 2010 GMC Canyon Key Fob

Keyless entry remote allow easy access to your Canyon. When the key fob battery is weak or dead you’ll lose your fob’s ability to control remote functions. In this post, we explained how to open your keyless entry remote and change your GMC key battery step by step.
What type battery remote key fob use
Before you start to open key fob check all that you need: 1 CR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver.- 1xCR2032 battery
- flat head screwdriver
Step by step guide
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed small button cell battery. Open the key if it is in the remote key fob.
Accurately try to open your keyless entry remote with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with new one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to put the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your key fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
