2010 Mercedes-Benz E500 Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

Prior to open key fob make sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and 2xCR2025 batteries.- 2xCR2025 batteries

Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's keyless entry remote
Inside of your remote key fob installed tiny button cell battery. Move the key out of the way if it is in the key fob.
Gently try to open your remote key fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove two CR2025 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Change old batteries with fresh one CR2025. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling fob’s case, make sure that all functions works by pressing buttons on circuit board.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to assemble the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your keyless entry remote case for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
