Simple steps to replace the battery in your Outlander's keyless entry remote
A tiny coin cell battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Move the key out of the way if it is in the remote key fob.
Carefully try to open your key fob with pry tools. Change CR2032 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Change old batteries with fresh one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new batteries installed, check key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fobโs body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your body two halves together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
