How to Replace the Battery in a 2010 Scion tC Key Fob

If your tC keyless entry remote is not open doors perfectly, the cell battery probably needs to be changed. Below, we demonstrate how to disassembly Scion remote key fob and replace a weak or dead battery yourself. If you decide to do it at home near tC, use this guide, but first make sure you have all you need before you start.
What type battery key fob use
Changing battery in keyless entry remote require CR2016 battery and flat head screwdriver. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your keyless entry fob's batteries.- 1xCR2016 battery
- flat head screwdriver
Step by step instruction
A coin battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the remote key fob.
Delicately try to disassemble your fob with flat head screwdriver. Change CR2016 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside fob’s body. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you place battery wrong way.
Before assembling fob’s case, check that everything working properly by testing buttons on circuit board.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. If your fob body firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
