How to Replace the Battery in a 2010 Toyota Rav4 Key Fob

Prior to disassembly keyless entry remote be sure that you have all required tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and 1xCR1632 battery.- flat head screwdriver

Simple steps to replace the battery in your Rav4's remote key fob
Inside of your remote key fob installed coin battery. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Carefully try to disassemble your keyless entry remote with pry tools. Remove CR1632 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR1632. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your remote key fob will not work if you place battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, verify key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your case pieces together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your remote key fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
