Simple steps to change the battery in your car's remote key fob
A small coin cell battery installed in the your remote key fob. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the remote key fob. Remove screw on the back of the remote key fob. Spin the key fob over and look for at least one screw holding in the plastic.
Gently try to pry apart your keyless entry remote with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with fresh one CR2032. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. If your fob case tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step. Screw fastener in the back of the remote key fob.
