How to Replace the Battery in a 2011 Land Rover LR2 Key Fob

If your LR2 remote key fob isn't unlock doors properly, the cell battery surely needs to be changed. In this case, you’ll benefit from knowing how to open Land Rover remote key fob and change a dead battery yourself. If you decide to do it at home near LR2, use this instruction, but first make sure you have tools and materials required.

Prior to disassembly key fob be sure that you have all required tools and materials: flat head screwdriver, one VL2330 battery, flux, soldering iron and soldering wire.- flux

Step by step instruction
A button cell battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Move the key out of the way if it is in the key fob.
Delicately try to disassemble your keyless entry remote with flat head screwdriver. VL2330 is rechargeable battery. To remove it from a remote key fob soldering iron required.
Change old battery with new one VL2330. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you place battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your case two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
