How to Open Your 2011 Mercedes-Benz E500 Key Fob and Change Battery

Simple steps to change the battery in your car's keyless entry remote
Inside of your key fob installed coin cell battery. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Delicately try to pry apart your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change 2 CR2025 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new batteries inside fob’s shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling keyless entry fob's case, check that everything is functioning by pressing buttons on circuit board.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your body pieces together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. If your remote key fob case firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
