Before beginning disassembly keyless entry remote check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and one CR2032 battery.- flat head screwdriver

Simple steps to change the battery in your Lancer's keyless entry remote
A coin cell battery installed inside the your remote key fob. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the key fob.
Accurately try to disassemble your keyless entry remote with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it in fob’s case. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, verify key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working good, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to assemble the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
