How to Open Your 2011 Volvo XC60 Key Fob and Change Battery

If your car keyless entry remote isn't unlock doors well, the cell battery most likely needs to be changed. In this article, we outlined how to disassembly your remote key fob and replace your Volvo key battery.
What type battery remote key fob use
Before beginning disassembly key fob be sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: 2 CR2430 batteries and flat head screwdriver.- 2xCR2430 batteries

Simple steps to replace the battery in your XC60's keyless entry remote
Inside of your key fob installed button battery. Move the key out of the way if it is in the remote key fob.
Carefully try to open your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace two CR2430 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Get new batteries and install it inside fob’s shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new batteries installed, verify remote key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your case two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. If your key shell tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
