How to Replace the Battery in a 2012 Acura ZDX Key Fob

If your Acura remote key fob is not working properly, the battery more likely needs to be changed. In this post, we explained how to disassembly your keyless entry remote and replace your Acura key battery step by step.

Before you start to disassembly key fob make sure that you have all required tools and materials: one CR2032 battery, phillips head screwdriver and flat head screwdriver.- phillips head screwdriver

Simple steps to change the battery in your ZDX's key fob
A small button battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Unscrew the back of the keyless entry remote. Spin the remote key fob over and look for at least one fastener holding in the plastic.
Gently try to disassemble your key fob with pry tools. Change 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside keyless entry fob's case. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key fob will not work if you place battery wrong way.
Before assembling fob’s case, make sure that everything is functioning by testing buttons on remote key fob.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body pieces together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step. Screw fastener in the back of the keyless entry remote.
