How to Replace the Battery in a 2012 Ford C-Max Key Fob
Keyless entry remote grant access to your C-Max. Once the keyless entry remote battery is weak or dead you will lose your fob’s ability to use distance opportunities. Below, we are going to tell you how to disassembly Ford remote key fob and replace a weak battery DIY. If you decide to do it at home near C-Max, use this instruction, but first make sure you have tools and materials required.
What kind of battery key fob use
Prior to disassembly keyless entry remote check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and 1 CR2032 battery.- 1xCR2032 battery

Step by step guide
Inside of your key fob installed small button cell battery. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Carefully try to disassemble your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in keyless entry fob's case. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, check remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your body pieces together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your remote key fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
