2012 Honda Crosstour Key Fob Battery Replacement Guide
If your Crosstour remote key fob is no longer working properly, the cell battery most likely needs to be changed. It's not difficult to change the battery in your key fob, and it’s easier than you think. Everything you need is described in this article.
What size battery does 2012 Honda Crosstour remote key fob required
Before going to open key fob check all that you need: 1 CR1616 battery, flat head screwdriver and phillips head screwdriver.- flat head screwdriver

Step by step instruction
Inside of your remote key fob installed small button battery. Remove screw on the back of the key fob. Spin the remote key fob over and find for at least one screw holding in the plastic.
Gently try to pry apart your key with pry tools. Remove CR1616 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside fob’s shell. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your remote key fob will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, verify remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to assemble the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step. Screw the back of the keyless entry remote.
