2012 Honda Pilot Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions
If your Pilot key is not open doors well, the battery likely needs to be changed. In this post, we walks you through how to open your car keyless entry remote and change your Honda key battery.
What type battery keyless entry remote use
Before starting disassembly remote key fob make sure that you have all required tools and materials: phillips head screwdriver, CR2032 batteries and flat head screwdriver.- 2xCR2032 batteries

Step by step instruction
Inside of your remote key fob installed tiny coin battery. Unscrew the back of the key fob. Flip the keyless entry remote over and find for at least 1 screw holding in the plastic.
Accurately try to pry apart your key with flat head screwdriver. Remove CR2032 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Get new batteries and install it inside fob’s case. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your remote key fob will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
When the new batteries installed, check key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to put the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. If your keyless entry remote shell tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step. Screw fastener in the back of the key fob.
