Simple steps to replace the battery in your MX-5 Miata's keyless entry remote
A tiny coin battery installed inside the your remote key fob. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the remote key fob.
Gently try to disassemble your key fob with pry tools. Replace 1xCR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with fresh one CR2025. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling keyless entry fob's case, check that all working fine by testing buttons on circuit board.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Delicately try to assemble the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your key fob case for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
