Simple steps to change the battery in your Matrix's key fob
A button battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Gently try to disassemble your key fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace one CR2016 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2016. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling keyless entry fob's case, verify that all functions works by testing buttons on circuit board.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Delicately try to assemble the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your remote key fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
