2013 Ford Edge Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

If your Edge remote key fob is not open doors well, the cell battery probably needs to be replaced. Below, we outlined how to open your car key fob and replace your Ford key battery.

Changing battery in key fob require 1xCR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the type of your keyless entry fob's batteries.- 1xCR2032 battery

Simple steps to replace the battery in your Edge's keyless entry remote
A tiny coin cell battery installed in the your remote key fob. Move the key out of the way if it is in the remote key fob.
Carefully try to disassemble your keyless entry remote with flat head screwdriver. Remove 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2032. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your remote key fob will not work if you place battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, verify remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s case in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Delicately try to put the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
