Simple steps to replace the battery in your XJ's key fob
A coin battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Move the key out of the way if it is in the key fob.
Carefully try to pry apart your key with flat head screwdriver. Replace 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it in fob’s case. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key fob will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
Before assembling keyless entry fob's case, verify that all working good by pressing buttons on keyless entry remote.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your case pieces together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. If your key fob body tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
