Replacing battery in remote key fob require one CR1632 battery and flat head screwdriver. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your keyless entry fob's batteries.- 1xCR1632 battery

Simple steps to change the battery in your Avalon's keyless entry remote
Inside of your key fob installed tiny coin cell battery. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the key fob.
Gently try to pry apart your remote key fob with pry tools. Replace one CR1632 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside keyless entry fob's shell. Battery must be placed with the same position as was a previous. Your remote key fob will not work if you mistakenly put battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working fine, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body two halves together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your fob case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
