In this post, we are going to tell you how to disassembly Toyota keyless entry remote and change a weak battery yourself. If you choose to do it at home near Rav4, use this guide, but first make sure you have tools and materials required before you start.

Before beginning open key fob check all that you need: CR2016 battery and flat head screwdriver.- 1xCR2016 battery

Step by step guide
A coin battery installed in the your remote key fob. Move the key out of the way if it is in the key fob.
Delicately try to disassemble your remote key fob with flat head screwdriver. Change one CR2016 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in keyless entry fob's body. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your remote key fob will not work if you put battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body two halves together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
