2014 Honda Accord Key Fob Battery Replacement Guide

Key fob grant access to your car. When the keyless entry remote battery is weak or dead you lose your fob’s ability to use distance opportunities. Below, we described how to open your keyless entry remote and change your Honda key battery.

Before going to open key fob be sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: 2 CR2032 batteries, flat head screwdriver and phillips head screwdriver.- flat head screwdriver

Simple steps to replace the battery in your Accord's key fob
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed coin cell battery. Unscrew the back of the key fob. Spin the key fob over and look for at least one fastener holding in the plastic.
Accurately try to open your fob with flat head screwdriver. Change two CR2032 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Change old batteries with new one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new batteries installed, check keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s case in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to put the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step. Screw the back of the remote key fob.
