How to Open Your 2014 Honda Ridgeline Key Fob and Change Battery
If your Honda key is not open doors correct, the cell battery likely needs to be changed. In this case, you will benefit from knowing how to disassembly your remote key fob and replace a weak battery DIY. What is the battery keyless entry remote use
Changing batteries in key fob require flat head screwdriver, CR2032 batteries and phillips head screwdriver. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your keyless entry fob's batteries.- 2xCR2032 batteries
- phillips head screwdriver
- flat head screwdriver
Step by step guide
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed tiny coin battery. Unscrew the back of the key fob. Spin the keyless entry remote over and find for at least one screw holding in the plastic.
Carefully try to pry apart your fob with pry tools. Change 2xCR2032 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new batteries in fob’s case. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key fob will not work if you place battery wrong way.
After the new batteries installed, verify keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If everything working properly, assemble your fob’s case in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your case two halves together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step. Screw the back of the key fob.
