2014 Lincoln MKS Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

Remote key fob grant access to your auto. If the remote key fob battery is discharged you will lose your fob’s ability to use distance opening function. In this article, we are going to tell you how to open Lincoln key fob and change a weak or dead battery yourself. If you decide to do it at home near MKS, follow our instruction, but first make sure you have tools and materials required before you start.
What type battery remote key fob use
Before beginning open keyless entry remote be sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: one CR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver.- flat head screwdriver

Step by step instruction
A small coin battery installed inside the your remote key fob. Move the key out of the way if it is in the key fob.
Accurately try to open your keyless entry remote with flat head screwdriver. Change CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it in keyless entry fob's shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, verify remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s case in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to assemble the two halves together by hands from top to bottom. Check your key case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
