Simple steps to change the battery in your Forester's remote key fob
Inside of your remote key fob installed small coin cell battery. Accurately try to pry apart your keyless entry remote with flat head screwdriver. Remove 1 CR1632 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with fresh one CR1632. Battery must be installed with the same polarity as was a previous. Your key will not work if you by mistake put battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, verify key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Delicately try to assemble the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. If your keyless entry remote case firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
